PROJECTS
Hinge House
We’re always looking to innovate, and the Impossible City project (our ongoing effort to build necessary structures for those experiencing homelessness in Seattle) is no exception. We partnered with Architects Without Borders to design a house that would be easy to move and give plenty of space for living and sleeping once it was set-up.
Our designers came up with the Hinge House, a tiny home with a roof that would raise and lower for easier transport. The house was completed by high school students in late spring of 2015 and installed at the Nickelsville camp in Seattle’s Central District shortly after.
