For our 2013 edition of Fortnight at Smoke Farm, students and counselors teamed up to make a charming bridge that leads over a small creek towards the barn. Students spent the days learning valuable carpentry skills from professional builders, while also exploring ideas about community, leadership, and the material world.

The bridge has become an essential part of Smoke Farm – everyone who heads to the kitchen from the further pastures walks over it and hears about the students involved in its production. And now, no one at the farm needs to worry about fording the creek during the rainy season!
