Metal Shop

Sawhorse has been longtime friends with Coyote Central, a Seattle community center that hosts educational workshops for all ages, teaching skills like carpentry as well as dance, music, and art classes. Coyote was in need of a new, outdoor space for their metal-working shop. Sarah Smith worked with builder Matt Cary (of Heirloom Quality Modern) to design the ideal structure for Coyote’s needs.

Matt & Sarah led high school students through this build during a crisp northwestern spring. The shop was finished up in 2014 and is currently being used by regular classes as a part of Coyote Central’s yearly programming.
